Overturned lorry on the M42

The M42 is closed Northbound after a lorry overturned in the early hours of this morning.

There is currently heavy traffic backed up between J4 A34/A3400 (Shirley/Dorridge) and J5 A41/A4141 (Solihull/Knowle) and recovery work is currently underway.

Authorities have created a diversion as they continue to clean up the lorry's 50 litre load of diesel which has spilled on the carriageway.
